About Sue

I am a Purdue Master Gardener living in the Michiana Area.  I created this site as a way of sharing my interest and knowledge of gardening and care for the earth with those around me.

It is my hope you will be inspired to also create a space of peace and beauty in your garden.  ~  Suzan N. Kesim ~

‎"To forget how to dig the earth and to tend the soil is to forget ourselves." -- Gandhi

Going Organic

By gardening organically, eating organically, cleaning organically we will leave the earth a better place for future generations.  We are borrowing the earth from those who come after us.

The Native American tradition is to think of the "Seventh Generation" asking, "Will my actions be good for those seven generations from now?"   What is your answer?

Small changes often net big results.  Please make this a better earth for all of us.

Permaculture

Permaculture is a method of gardening that causes the least amount of impact to the earth and works with the natural cycles of nature.  It takes "organic" to the next level by promoting wise water use, encouraging good bugs to appear and working with the natural cycle of native plants in your location.  To learn more about Permculture, check out our recommended books on it.
